Chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel whipped buttercream frosting

I have a New Year's Resolution to eat only sweets that I make myself and right now I am slightly obsessed with cupcakes.

The frosting I used tonight is divine. It is light, whipped amazing-ness! Here's the recipe:

Salted Caramel Whipped Buttercream frosting:

2 sticks butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
2/3 cup of caramel sundae topping
2 tbsp heavy cream

Whip butter in blender with paddle attachment until creamy. Slowly add powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla, salt and caramel and whip until caramel is full incorporated. Add heavy cream and whip until fluffy. Makes enough to generously top 24 cupcakes.
